Letter to Nintendo!

Hello EVERYONE!

KIRA IS ALIVE! AND WRITING! SOOOOOO if for some reason you were skipping through Sunny's wonderful posts and waiting for mine? Then here it is! I have just submitted a letter to Nintendo! That's right! And about what?!? POKEMON!!! Damn right! This girl still plays Pokemon, and will do so until her dying breath! so fuck off! But I thought I would share the letter with you, and see how thoughtful Kira is when writing to a Company that has been irking her for a long time!

Now for a reminder guys! I DO love Nintendo. It is my all time favorite! And if I could I would work there. Some how, some way! Whether it be feeding their workers and CEO as a chef, or programming the games myself! Hell I'd even be the janitor (if it paid well and I could make a living off of it!) But, I can't speak Japanese (I'm learning!) nor am I computer savvy for the programming. Ah well. Maybe someday, and opportunity will show up! Okay, enough with the chitchat!!! Here's the letter!

Hello Nintendo,

My name is (Corrected for you guys) Kira, and I will say right here and now that I have been a Nintendo fan since I was the age of 8. Now hitting 20 in 2012, that means I have been devotedly buying your games and systems to the best I could within my buying power for a good 12 years. But there is one thing that has been bothering me now that I am older and can read through a lot of things.
Pokemon
Millions of people love this game, and according to the latest installment of Pokemon Black and White, the number has hit 10's of millions. But why is it so hard to "catch 'em all"? I don't want to point fingers, but I must know if anything. There are a good 10 at least that you can't catch anymore except for events (which I might add.. America seems to be lacking of) or through other games. Now if your goal was to make more money (through buying other games) it makes sense (though making them unlock able only once is mean like the Pokemon ranger games, and don't even start with the problem of the bonus CD on Colosseum!)But why the events? And why do the events end? What if a person couldn't afford a game way later till the events were done? Then what? And what about the older games? What if you were a child when Pokemon Ruby and Emerald and Crystal and who knows all these older games, and didn't even KNOW you could go to events to unlock them? Internet wasn't that big when I was a child you see. But now that I AM older and DO know about it, I am forever grinding my teeth when I pop in a Pokemon game and realize that I CAN'T get certain Pokemon unless I create a time machine. Why is it that the only way to attain them now is through a hack machine that can ruin the game for good? But for the older games, even the hack machine won't work! See the hack machine died out with the game system, and if you were naive and "good" for hacks, than you're doomed!
You see, it is a very frustrating dilemma. I love Pokemon. I'm 20, in college, and I still love Pokemon. It was a part of my child hood and I'll always cherish it, but why must it be that with each game, one must be constantly reminded that their Pokedex is increasingly emptier. And furthermore! With each new empty spot, the older blank areas seem to get darker and darker, and you just want to swear to never buy another Pokemon game again. But that would be the ruination of my child hood! And millions of others I'm sure!
If anything, please make it easier to get these legendaries to complete the Pokedex. I know it kills the term "legendary" but it's a game, not real life. And it would also be extremely lovely if there was a way to just.. re obtain all of the older Pokemon legednaries from before games too. At least before all these die out too. I would love to complete my Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, Leafgreen, and FireRed as well too. Yes, I have ALL of them! (Including Red, Blue, Yellow, Crystal, Silver, Gold (those died out), Diamond, Pearl, Heartgold, SoulSilver, White, and Black! Only missing Platinum.... never bothered though cause I didn't really like the Diamond and Pearl Series. Sorry...) I have supported you as company for so long, and I will still devotedly follow. But please, some how, some way, through the makings that only Nintendo can do, let me (and a few millions of others) be able to complete my (their) Pokedex. And especially from way back when. Let it be a Wonder machine or something else. Anything. And then, us already devoted fans will have something much more powerful than just pure fanatic-ism. Appreciation. We'll be forever grateful and that memory will burn within us stronger than any love can. We'll always spread what a wonderful Company Nintendo is Mind Soul and Heart. Not only do they produce the best durable and ingenious systems and the most memorable addicting awesome games, but they will also be the most caring, understanding, least teeth grind worthy to their fans. That will always create more fans, and in the long run, you will make a hell lot of more money!!
If it is impossible, at least make the newer games easier to complete completely. It might be hard to catch another good 800+ Pokemon, but if we can ACTUALLY catch all 800+, then I for one will be grateful that for the first time in my life, I have COMPLETED a POKEMON game! and CAUGHT 'EM ALL~!!!!
Thank you, and I have no idea if this letter will even be read or make a difference, but I will never know if I don't try. Thank you once again for making the great games you do, and I hope you really do consider this long thought out concern of mine. Thank you once again, and I hope you guys all had a wonderful Christmas a bright New Year! Thank you!

Oh shit! I forgot to type "Sincerely Kira". Ah well. See I was extremely civil, minimally offensive and even wished them a wonderful New Year! I DON'T want the company to fail after all! Whether they'll read my damn long letter, is very slim. Whether it will make a difference? Even slimmer! And YES DAMN IT! ITS LONGGGGGGG. I wanted to put my thoughts down and I am still inefficient with using as little words as possible! SCREW YOU! I'm still learning!

Sorry for the meanness of this post, but I WANT TO CATCH THEM ALL DAMN IT! I WANTTT TOOOOO!!! -sob sob sob sob-

Thanks for reading, and please, if possible, just send Nintendo a whole mess of similar letters too! (nice ones! no one will do stuff well if cornered, and will do it unwillingly on top of that!) Forever grinding teeth because Mew, Celebi, Jirachi, Deoxyxx, etc, will never be in her reach in any humane mortal way...

Music

Hey everyone! Aren't I commendable?? blogging two days in a row the day after Christmas? Yes, I'm hard working and you should subscribe. I'm obviously loyal to my blog now it is your turn to return the love.

Speaking of sharing love, since this blog is about making my eyes sparkle with excitement, I decided to do another post on music.  If you've been keeping up, I listen to a lot of music especially Japanese music.  I of course listen to music in English, but only when its on the car radio... and I'm guessing most people know whats up in the English music world, so I shall talk mostly about the more unknown world of Japanese music and with an exception to some songs.

( /*3*)/

So to kick it off, I created two rankings.
The first; Current Addictions

[ NUMBER 1 ]

This song by mini is a cover of an older song except mini made it awesome.  There is actually another music video that is probably the primary version, but I like this one better. Mini is known to take her own photos and use them in her MVs.  All her photos really capture the moment.  They aren't professional, but there is a lot of heart like in her MV "Two of Us"; all the couples are real and look like they are madly in love (super kyoot).  I guess that's one reason I like her; she shares a closeness with her fans.
BTW I want her ring... i want her outfit.

[ NUMBER 2 ]

This one is probably going to be on replay forever.  I really like Tiara and Spontania together in this.  Might I add, Spontania is like one of my most fav groups.  Rasta man and cool guy... the best duo making great music.

[ NUMBER 3 ]

No specific reason why I like this song so much... hmm.
Well I do like Nerdhead a lot who sounds exactly like So'Fly.

The second ranking; Replayed ALL the Time
These three are my eternal top threes I think.  A lot of songs are dynamic and catchy but these three have their own compartment in my brain and are constantly in my head.  When my mp3 plays these songs, I never skip them.

[ NUMBER 1 ]
SoulJa - Breathless
I truly love this song and this man, SoulJa.  The situation in the song just makes me squeal, and I'm addicted to the lyrics.  The lyrics just roll of SoulJa's tongue with the perfect mix of Japanese and English words.  However, I'm not really sure what a "cheery chupa cup girl" is. hehe but what ever.  I'm also addicted to SoulJa's voice; its sooooo sexay!  One thing I'm thankful for though is that Soulja got a haircut; his haircut back when it was long didn't look right... and I like SoulJa when he's not rapping and spitting his lyrics those songs aren't sexy or appealing to me.  Sorry SoulJa.
Lastly sorry I couldn't find a higher quality version, but bear with me.

So this song is a veteran on my mp3.  Its one of the first songs I got for my player and has been on replay ever since.  Its is a remix BUT the remix version is 10000000X better, and of course its also good b/c Sontania is good.

[ NUMBER 3 ]

I actually used to dislike this song because of Aoyama Thelma's voice.  It came off a bit annoying with the high pitched sound of the melody, her sultry (?) voice, and with the way the song overlaps her singing or something.  However, it somehow became one of my top played songs.  Obviously SoulJa played a part in this because his voice is to die for, but I also love Thelma's voice now too.  She is very talented and its especially noticeable in her live performances; I guess this didn't occur to me until later, but listening carefully, her voice is very unique and likable, it is very delicate and sweet.

Ok.  The End

Happy Holidays 'nd Music

M  E  R  R  Y     [ C  H  R  I  S  T  M  A  S ]

Hey my awesome readers! are you all staying warm n cozy?  How're your winter holidays coming??
My Christmas was fantastic!

My Benjies are smiling :)

My Obaachan, grandma in Japanese, sent me 200 BUCKS YAY-yaaaa.  Over the phone she said, "I didn't send much so expect more for New Years."  Those words were like music to my ears.  Then my parents gave me another 100... but I felt sorta bad b/c taking money from my parents feels just as bad as snatching candy from a baby.  If you're wondering why my grandma giving me money doesn't bother me.. well that's cuz she's ballin' and I'm putting together an album to send her.

On Christmas, I woke up at around 11 to hear the heater getting turned on 'n w/ the warm air also came the smell of deliciousness wafting in.  None the less, I went back to sleep, but an hour later, I woke up to find a Christmas lunch! YES it was great!  My mom cooked up turkey, gravy, quiche, salad... OMG just the best.  There was also blueberry cider... that was interesting and yummy.  The quiche was burnt.

OH and the turkey... SO my mom and I thought of the greatest idea back during Thanksgiving which was.. since preparing and cooking a whole turkey is seriously a hassle and time consuming, we figured we should just buy a bunch of drum sticks and wings instead b/c well they cook faster than a whole turkey and you don't have to eat the not so good parts of the turkey like breast. Yep that's our new tradition.

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

OK so since its Christmas I also thought I would share some holiday cheer :D
So here's some Christmasy music.
The lyrics aren't really Christmas related and are somewhat inaudible, but the melody is from the song "Last Christmas."

Enjoy!

El Pueblo de Nuestra Senora la Reina de los Angeles de Porciuncula

I'm guessing most of you reading this are like "@__@ waaaa??" about the title, however, if you didn't give up and read the whole thing, you probably noticed something familiar, "los Angeles."  If you still don't understand, that mouthful of a title is actually the full name of Los Angeles.  Betcha didn't know that.  Now ya do :D  "El Pueblo de bla bla ... translates to "The Town of Our Lady, Queen of the Angels of Porciuncula."

Okay on to the post
LA is where my Friday was spent.  So the day began with my friend, Ester, picking me up at 9:30 AM.  We drove for about 30 minutes and went to Santa Monica College.  It was pretty boring.  The directions we had made us go in circles a lot  =____=

Then we decided to eat at the world famous "Pinks Hot Dogs" in LA. My foodie friend told me it was a good place to eat, so we got the directions on Ester's iphone and off we went.  It was supposed to be a 23 minute drive... we ended up driving for like an hour or more... I guess that's LA for you.

We were pretty low on energy because Ester had a final that morning and both of us didn't eat breakfast.  At 20 minutes of driving, we almost gave up, at 30, we decided, after driving for so long we might as well go, and if it didn't meet our expectations and effort, there would be consequences.  Don't mess with hungry people mutha fuckas.

So driving an hour through LA, we were bound to see a few landmarks.
This one above; Beverly Hills yeaaa thats where i wana be! and i was until we turned a corner into the ghetto.

Then we went through Rodeo Drive.  Everyone n everything looked expensive and nice.  Trafic consisted of Mercedes, Land Rovers, Ferraris, and our Honda.  Yay for feeling cheap.

There's St. Nicholas on Rodeo Drive.

Its a bit blurry but there was also a very dandy monopoly guy standing in front of a hospital on Rodeo Drive.  He had a nice bowler hat, and  a cane... mysterious...

 Then alas!!! We arrived! PINKS
It was already 2 o'clock and we were dying for some food.

The line was pretty long but it took no more than 15 min to order and 3 minutes for our food to get to us.  Doesn't it look like heaven?? Because it is a one way ticket to there.  This stuff was authentic American style artery clogging deliciousness. - A heart attack on a plate- I think I will die an American death from eating too much fat, but can ya blame me.. I mean look at it.  I wanna frame it and hang it in my room.

Here's what I got.  The Mayor's Dog, designed by the 41st Mayor of LA, Antonio Villaraigosa.  It was pretty damn good however very difficult to eat w/ all the toppings.  The sausage had kind of a thick skin so it was very hard to eat while all the guacamole got all over my face.  the bun was also getting soggy and  started falling apart.

Here's Ester's hotdog, "The Ozzy Spicy Dog".  Designed by Ozzy Osbourne. Ester said it was really spicy, but yummy.

This is the last thing we ordered, "The Bacon Chilly Dog."  The Ozzy and The Mayor were filling enough, but we ordered this one just because we went through all the trouble to get to Pinks.

AANNDD just because were wanted it, we got a half and half order of fries and onion rings.  They were delicious

Heres mine. Doesn't it look so very delicious?

Three buildings away from pinks was this.  Yes.  A "clinic" cough cough.  Where you can get yo papersss
if you're not getting what i'm gettin at.. its a medical marijuana clinic.  These were everywhere!

After food was LAX (the airport)
Getting there was a bit difficult just like everywhere else we tried to get to.  At a red light there was a car w/ a dog peaking out the window, then another, and then a third.  It was a cute surprise.

Ester had something to do at LAX because she works there.  So while I was waiting, I tried to take a picture of a plane which somehow ended up coming out really dark even though it was still light out.

The sky was abnormally beautiful... maybe its the LA smog... no seriously.  the irony... that such an ugly thing contributed to such a beautiful thing.  Oh and sorry for the dirty window.. hehe I didnt notice till later.

Heres a picture without the dirty window.. but this time the tree and the car kinda get in the way.  Sorry, I tried... we were driving.

A cool picture I took of some power lines while we were driving.. there were so many.

It was a very long day, and we were stuck in traffic to get home for 1 1/2 hours.  Neways here's one last pic I took in the car to end this mega post.  This was after the sun set.  It was absolutely breathtaking.

Whale Watching

Yesterday, Kira and I went to Newport with our biology club to go see some whales.  I was soooo excited; its migration season for whales, so we were expecting to see a variety.  The weather was perfect.  For a winter day, it was sunny and warm with clear skies.

Here's a pic of Kira.  We were still maneuvering out of the marina.  That beautiful, red hat atop Kira's head used to be mine, but I never wore it, so when she helped me clean my room, I gave it to her.  I think it suits her well :) you're welcome.

There were a lot of expensive looking houses that had private piers and boats.  I thought, "One of these days I shall live in one... hopefully."

I bet this is how rich people do networking and get more rich... by being neighbors.

Once we got out to open sea, there was a lot of ... open sea watching happening... it was just so much fun =_=

Yep, just starin' at the sea.  I think I would go nuts if I stayed on a boat too long unless it was Luffy from One Piece's boat.. I wouldn't mind that.  So, soon after we left the marina, I got seas sick.  It was horrible; I felt nauseous and uncomfortable.  Someone told me to go sit at the back of the boat where there is the least rocking, so I went and made friends with the other sea sick people.  We sat there making conversation with occasional groans of discomfort.  Only one girl barfed and I just happened to look when it happened.  It was orange.. haha tmi? sorry.

There were no whales to be found and  in the end, after two and a half hours, we saw a few sea lions basking in the sun on a  buoy .  -they were cute-  There was one huge one and it was apparently the alpha male.

The captain told us we were unlucky.  He said it was unusual for there to be none.  This chart shows how many of what was sighted on given dates.  How the heck were 3,200 dolphins sighted on one day and none the day we went?!

A cute dog we saw.  The owner said it is a miniature husky.. didn't know there's such thing as a miniature husky   It was cute and so docile.. just sitting there comfortably in its basket.

After we got off the boat, we all went to go eat at Ruby's Diner.  It was located at the end of the pier.
I ordered the Cobb Burger.  It had lettuce, tomato, bleu cheese, avocado, a patty, and bacon.  I totally forgot to take a picture.  I thought it tasted decent.. not the best, just okay.  I also ordered clam chowder.  That definitely tasted bad.  Kira said it was good though.

We ate on the restaurant's balcony.  Amazing view right?  It was nice.  However, the restaurant has a constant bombardment of pigeons that feared no humans.  They attack food the moment people leave their seats.

So that was our very eventful day.  Although there weren't any whales, and I ended up getting sea sick, it was all together a fun day.  We also each received a free pass to come back because of the absence of whales.
Next time I will surely take some Dramamine.
